Hi, I’m Sarah!
I’m a born and raised Hoosier turned Californian, residing in Sonoma in beautiful California Wine Country.
A bit about me and this blog
In my day job, I’m a writer. I’m a wine, food and lifestyle journalist contributing to Sonoma magazine, Sonoma Index-Tribune, Santa Rosa Press-Democrat, and the Sonoma Valley Sun. I also offer my services as a copywriter for wine and hospitality marketing.
This blog is a side project that I get to when I can. I’m quite prolific in my journalism work, but, when I find the time, I return here to share stories and experiences.
Check out my work here.
Sarah’s Sojourn is my exploration through the world of wine and food travel, which includes wineries, restaurants, and other great places to visit along the way. I tend to travel solo frequently, with occasional guest appearances from friends and family around the world.
I grew up in a wine drinking family and consider wine an integral part to enjoying life, family and friends. My favorite type of wine is Champagne. Still wine wise, I love Pinot Noir and Sancerre.
I eat a lot of it. I like to sometimes cook it. I also really love to share my food experiences with friends, social media and anyone who will listen, watch, smell and taste.
I hope you’ll join me on my sojourn through the best of wine, food and the good life.
